I’m a bit of a rebel at GetResponse because I’m one of the few PC users in a sea of iFanatics. There’s no debating that Mac’s app store is packed with cool apps and Android has ways to go to catch up to them overall, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some gems for email marketers! Below, you’ll find five of my fav Android apps for email marketers on the go.

GetResponse Android App

GetResponse Android AppMuch like the technology they work with, email marketers are always on the go and that’s why we created the GetResponse Android app. You can add contacts, send plain text messages, view analytics and even email those stats to others. This is an absolute must have for any email marketer!

Skitch

Let’s say you want to show team members something in one of your templates and you’re on the move with no access to a laptop. Explaining it in words is awkward and time consuming and hard on the thumbs. Skitch solves this by allowing you to easily annotate images. It even has a highlighter for marking up text and you know how handy that will be for fine tuning your newsletter copy on the run.

Pocket

Email marketers read a lot of stuff and it’s not all in email. We are constantly learning and updating our skills. It’s hard to keep up with so many blogs focused on email and online marketing in general. Pocket is a handy little app which allows you stash interesting posts, videos and more. So, you can stock up on content to catch up on when you’re 30 thousand feet in the air (for example) and don’t have an internet connection. It’s also helpful for organizing content for easy retrieval anytime.

Vlingo

Are you an Android user who feels left out because you don’t have something like Siri for the iPhone? Well, the good news is that Vlingo is your very own personal assistant for Android – Just llike Siri, but a little more humble. With Vlingo you can send updates to Twitter or Facebook, ask for help finding restaurants and oh, send emails too, just by speaking.

Bluetooth File Transfer

Bluetooth File TransferBluetooth seems to be one of those technologies which you don’t really appreciate till you find a use for it and transferring files is certainly useful.  As its name implies, Bluetooth file transfer allows you to FTP files from your phone to any Bluetooth device wirelessly.  Email geeks will love that you can also transfer contacts from one device to another.

What about you? Have you got any great Android apps you’d like to share? I’d love to know about them, so please leave a comment!

What? You’re an iPhone user and you read this far? Bless you! Here’s the GetResponse  iPhone app which overflows with awesomeness!
